Founded in 1990, ÁRTER Architects is a multidisciplinary practice located in the heart of Brussels.

Multidisciplinarity, a founding principle of the agency, is the main driving force in the development of projects. Thus, the structure is composed of 5 complementary departments - Architecture, Restoration, Townplanning & Landscape, Environment & Research - working hand in hand to develop innovative and environmentally ambitious projects that respect the site, the heritage and the users.

The team is made up of people from a variety of backgrounds: architects and architect-engineers, landscape architects and urban planners, interior designers, art historians and heritage experts, and graphic designers. Under the direction of the partners and department directors, each of them puts their multiple skills at the service of complex projects, requiring a global study and involving several themes and research axes.

ARTER Architects is involved in complete missions from design to delivery, on projects of various sizes, both public and private, and with different programs: residential projects, school and sports facilities, catering and events sector, planning and development of public spaces and green areas, territorial planning and urban revitalisation, restoration of heritage or development cooperation projects (mainly on the African continent).
